Making his first Canadian appearance, we proudly present to you Anichi Perez!
Born in Ecuador and raised in Nicaragua and Cuba, Anichi Perez grew up immersed in the rich cultural rhythms of Latin America.
His artistic journey began with classical guitar studies at the Music Conservatory in Quito, Ecuador, where he developed a deep appreciation for music.
Over time, his passion for dance—now his professional focus—sparked his love for jazz and Cuban/Latin music.
Anichi's musical pursuits led him to New York and Havana, where he studied the iconic Cuban instrument, the "Tres," under legends such as Renesito Avich, Pancho Amat, and Nelson Gonzales.
This blend of musical and dance expertise allows Anichi to create a truly unique connection between rhythm and movement.
In Germany, he met his dance partner, Anne, and together they rose from local acclaim in Freiburg to international success, winning the European Salsa Championship in 2007 and becoming Vice World Champions in Miami in 2009.
Today, Anichi combines his mastery as a dancer and musician, delivering electrifying performances that blend salsa, son, timba, and jazz.
