Walter Rivera has been recognized in the artistic community for several Years since he is both; a professional dancer and choreographer His wild performances will remain forever engraved in your memories, which is not surprising when you look at his career.
He is well anchored in the Montreal region where he started as a dancer having the chance to perform with great artists like Céline Dion.
Then, he spent a few years in Queens New York and Habana Cuba to perfect some of the dance styles he fusions today : Street Jazz , Hip Hop, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Contemporary, Cabaret … just to name few .He then became a teacher and choreographer which allowed him to participate in several major projects such as the musical “Apollo”, “Beat of the Streets”, “Latin Soul takes Manhattan” and “Azucar” internationally and here in Montreal (Place des arts.)
His performances also allowed him to travel internationally thanks to various Salsa congresses: Paris, Marseille, Monaco and Italy where he broadened his skills in the world of Latin dance by participating with the top dancers in the world of Mambo, Cuban Salsa and the unmissable Mambo King Eddie Torres.”
It was also internationally that he experienced his first success in the musical world, signed by Sony musique Paris where he was part of the group 4YOU (Waldo) composed of four professional dancers where They had a single “Love de toi” which allowed them to open for Lorie on a European tour
After several years of perfecting his experiences and improving all the knowledge learned from industry experts, Walter Rivera had his first single with a summer hit Here in Montreal “Super Star” now ready to launch his official solo career as Singer and Dancer Walter brings us a refreshing unique experience.
